Ancestry Library Edition

Ancestry Library Edition is one of the world's premiere genealogical databases.  Ancestry Library Edition is TEMPORARILY available for remote use from your home. Contact staff and provide your library card number to receive access password.  The Library Edition of Ancestry has some differences from their regular paid subscription plan, including customization features and certain collections.

Brainfuse HelpNow offers personalized homework help in core subjects (math, reading, writing, science and social studies) including SAT preparation. Adults and college students will find practice tests, as well as other tutoring subjects.

JobNow features live online coaches who assist in resume/cover letter preparation, and help patrons prepare for job interviews. VetNow provides support for veterans and their families with navigating the VA bureaucracy, providing academic tutoring, and employment transition assistance.

Bridges: Iowa's eLibrary

BRIDGES: Iowa’s eLibrary, offers eBooks and audiobooks available to download for free anytime, anywhere. Bridges has more than 16,500 eBooks and 7,500 audiobooks. Digital content is borrowed for a set period of time and titles automatically expire at the end of the lending period- there are no late fees!

The Jones County Genealogical Society and county libraries collaborated to digitize and place online the counties newspapers.  Monticello's newspapers are only available through the Monticello Library's website. The following newspapers are included in the archive: Cascade Courier, Cascade Pioneer, Cascade Pioneer Advertiser, Midland Times, Oxford Mirror, Anamosa Eureka, Anamosa Journal, Anamosa Journal-Eureka, The C Press, The Olin Recorder, The Wyoming Journal, The Wyoming Weekly Journal
